Recognized as one of the world's great ensembles, Budapest's Takács Quartet plays with a unique blend of drama, warmth and humor, combining four distinct musical personalities to bring fresh insights to the string quartet repertoire.

For their Fortas debut on Tuesday, March 13 in the Terrace Theater, they bring a program of Schubert's String Quartet No. 12 in C minor (D 703/Op. posth 'Quartettsatz'), Bartók's String Quartet No. 4 in C major (Sz. 91), and Beethoven's String Quartet No. 14 in C-sharp minor (Op. 131).

"The Takács have the ability to make you believe that there's no other possible way the music should go," Gramophone magazine noted about the quartet.
