The Embassy of Hungary in collaboration with Alliance Française de Washington DC is pleased to present French pianist Claude Bessmann the evening of February 8.

Ms. Bessmann will delight Washingtonians with her passionate interpretations of Franz Liszt and Maurice Ravel.

Claude Bessmann won first prize in piano in the class of the world-renowned Vlado Perlemutter. She also won the gold medal at the International Competition in Vercelli, Italy. Bessmann is currently professor of piano at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Paris and at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris.

"Claude Bessmann lives the Liszt sonata from one end to the other, taking into account its incandescent strength over an excited speech with a commitment and a rare sincerity” (Musiques Magazine)
