On Saturday, January 21st, one day following the Inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States, the Embassy of Hungary hosted a tripartite of events at the soon-to-be new Embassy building at 1500 Rhode Island Avenue under the headline “Salute to Freedom,” including a post-Inaugural Brunch and a VIP piano concert by Steinway Artist, Ádám György. Later in the evening, the Embassy of Hungary turned down the lights and opened up the Embassy’s new “speakeasy” bar for a happy hour and cocktail reception. Distinguished attendees of the Embassy of Hungary’s “Salute to Freedom” included President Trump’s advisors, Senators, Congressmen and Congresswomen, business executives and corporate leaders, leaders of the Hungarian-American community, and Ambassadors and Military Attachés.
