American pianist Terry Eder gave her New York debut at Carnegie Hall in 2004 to critical acclaim. She performs frequently in the U.S., France, Italy and Germany and has released two recordings: Portrait, her debut CD, and Dohnányi: Piano Music on the Hungaroton label. She has been lauded for her expertise in music by Hungarian composers. After musical training in the U.S., Miss Eder won a grant awarded by the International Research & Exchanges Board to reside in Budapest, where she studied Hungarian music with maestro Zoltán Kocsis, and learned to speak Hungarian. Tonight, Eder presents a program of exhilarating piano music incorporating the vibrant and expressive folk music of Hungary on the Millennium Stage at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
