The 8th Annual CEPA Forum from September 28-29 in Washington, DC brought together key stakeholders and decision-makers from the Central European region. The Embassy of Hungary also hosted an exclusive, invite only Gala Dinner on Wednesday evening that included such distinguished guest as Hungarian Deputy Foreign Minister Krostof Altusz and the State Department's Coordinator for Sanctions Policy Ambassador Daniel Fried.
A Holy Mass at the Basilica of Immaculate Conception as well as a reception at the Embassy of Hungary took place in special celebration of Hungary's National Day on August 20th. In commemoration of King Stephen, the nation's founder, Hungarians across Budapest and the entire country celebrate with concerts, Holy Mass and fireworks.
The Hungarian Embassy held an open house on May 14th in celebration of the European Month of Culture. Traditional Hungarian food was served and guests had a chance to learn more about the 1956 Revolution.
Winemakers from the Tokaj region of Hungary were on hand March 18th at the Hungarian Embssy to showcase some of the finest furmint wines Hungary has to offer. Hosted in conjunction with Furmint USA’s ten-day market blitz of the United States, 17 furmint wines were available for sampling.
