Systemax’ EMEA Pan-European Technology Products Group opens a new shared service center in Budapest, Hungary – announced representatives of HITA (Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency) and the company. The new leased facility will support the Company’s expanding pan-European footprint and will be located in the Corvin Promenade, in the heart of Budapest. The facility, the Company’s first in Hungary, is expected to open in the spring of 2013, ramping up to approximately 200 employees by year end.

The new shared services center will support the Company’s pan-European operating growth strategy, provide administrative and back office services, and help drive operational efficiencies. The facility will also serve as the hub for Systemax’s Central and Eastern European sales and marketing operations. Sandy Price, Systemax’s Executive Vice President Business Operations EMEA, will be relocating to Budapest and will oversee operations at the new facility. The initiative is a result of the Company’s partnership with the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency (“HITA”).

Systemax’s EMEA Technology Products Group generated more than $1.1 billion in revenue in 2011 and services SMB, Enterprise, Public Sector, and SOHO customers through a multi-channel selling platform. This includes multiple e-commerce websites, as well as local language call centers located across its geographic footprint, all operating under its MISCO and WStore brands. The business offers hundreds of thousands of branded IT and related category products from the top manufacturers in the industry. The EMEA group currently services customers in the UK, France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Sweden with a local presence and remote customer service in Ireland, Belgium, Austria, and Switzerland.
