On Thursday, September 15, Hungarian Ambassador Dr. Réka Szemerkényi hosted Hungarian experts from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund at her residence. The event was aimed at strengthening ties with Hungarians working in international organizations as well as to provide an update about the latest developments concerning Hungarian-American bilateral relations.

On Thursday, September 15, Ambassador of Hungary Dr. Réka Szemerkényi hosted members of the Hungarian delegation to the World Bank and International Monetary fund at her residence. Ambassador Szemerkényi briefed the guests about recent developments in US-Hungarian bilateral relations as well as highlighted the upcoming commemorative events of the 60th Anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and Freedom Fight organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Washington DC.

Ambassador Szemerkényi also publicized and warmly invited all of her guests to a film festival featuring weekly movies about the 1956 Revolution between October 4 and November 4, as well as to the various planned concerts (pianist Endre Hegedűs, Cimbalomduo, Csík Orchestra, Ferenc Németh Trio) and  celebratory reception to take place at the Embassy on 23 October.
