Mandoki and Soulmates Take Off on the ‘Wings of Freedom’ in the Big Apple

Hungarian-German Musician Leslie Mandoki and his ‘Soulmates’ band gave a sold out concert titled ‘Wings of Freedom’ at New York City’s prestigious Beacon Theater on Broadway Avenue on Monday night, January 29. The guest star of the concert was Charlie Horváth, one of the living icons of the Hungarian blues scene.

The three-hour concert included such hits as Died in your arms by Cutting Crew, Rosanna (Meet you all the way) and (Hold the line!) Love isn’t always on time, both by Toto, and Ice with Double Whiskey by Charlie.

The concert and the afterparty, graciously hosted by Ambassador Ferenc Kumin, Hungarian Consul-General in New York City, was attended by Hungarian Ambassador to the United States László Szabó, MD; world-renowned American-Hungarian musician and songwriter Desmond Child; and Joel Katz, Chairman of Global Entertainment and Media Practice in Atlanta, GA.
