Shaolin Sándor Liu, boyfriend of Great Britain’s Speed Skater Elise Christie, helped Hungary win our first ever Winter Olympic gold medal in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Shaolin’s younger brother, Shaoang Liu, Viktor Knoch and Csaba Burján made up the rest of the Hungarian short-track speed skating quartet.

2018 Marks the 'Year of Aszú’ in the United States

Minister of Human Capacities Zoltán Balog visited Washington, DC between February 6-9, escorted by Deputy State Secretary Tristan Azbej, responsible for the Aid of Persecuted Christians. They opened an exhibition at the new building of the Embassy of Hungary titled ‘Cross in Fire - Christian Persecution in the Middle-East’, which will be open to American visitors between February 9-28.
