Throughout the day traditional dancers performed for embassy goers, complimented by classical Hungarian music. Guests were encouraged to join in and a few enthusiasts had the opportunity to learn a few steps. On display nearby was a far more sobering twelve panel exhibition in honor of the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution as well as the remembrance of those who lost their lives in the fight for freedom in October and November of 1956.

Also on display at this year's Open House was an Audi sports car, provided by a nearby dealership in recognition of Hungary's significant manufacturing and auto export industry. Guests had chance to look under the hood whilst simultaneously learning a little more about the Hungarian economy.

Last but not least, it has become a tradition in recent years to extend an open invite to Hungarian dog breed owners to stop by the Embassy. Famous for their dog-loving culture, this year's featured dog was the "Vizsla." Known as an exceptional sporting dog and a loyal companion, over a dozen Vizslas stopped to play and enjoy the fair weather.
