On November 29, Hungary’s Honorary Consuls in the United States gathered at the Embassy of Hungary for an Economic and Business Workshop on the margins of the Annual Honorary Consuls’ Conference. They took part in a full day of presentations and deliberations aimed at supporting cooperation, coordination and the enhancement of U.S.-Hungary commercial relations.

The Embassy was delighted to welcome guest speakers such as Eric Stewart, President of the US-Hungary Business Council; Agnieszka Kulikowski, Regional Sales Manager at LOT Polish Airlines; Peter Gyenese, President of Syncope Global; and Fabrice Bonvoisin, President of FB International.

Mr. Stewart provided an overview of the state of U.S.-Hungary commercial relations and advised the Honorary Consuls on navigating the contemporary U.S. political landscape.

Ms. Kulikowski introduced LOT’s new direct flights from Budapest to New York and Chicago, which are set to launch in May 2018. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the most modern planes in the world, will be used on the new routes.

Mr. Bonvoisin, representing FB International, one of the Hungarian National Trading House’s American partners, presented his work to support Hungarian companies looking to enter the U.S. market.
